Of course clusters are a lot more painful than a lot of things. My point ( I am beginning to forget what it was ) is that it takes two to tango. The pain and the ability to handle the pain or the perception, if you will. Yes clusters are excruciating but I also know that some people with a lower pain threshold might suffer just as much from soemthing like migraines.
The point about introducing emotional pain into this discussion is just a reminder that there are all sots of pain in this world, lest we clusterheads forget. The most painful thing I have ever endured was watching a family member suffer from clinical depression. Pain is pain - whether it is an ice pick in your head or extreme unrelenting sadness.

When we, as clusterheads, walk around with this our pain is the greatest attitude it is a bit unflattering.

I know that my clusters are very, very severe. I also know that I have a prety good pain threshold. I aslo know that I am a little proud that I have been able to handle them without hysterics or trips to the emergency room ( although people here tend to get very upset when I say this ). And so what? The pain is mine. I too own my pain and I do no need to share it and tell the world.
