First bout at 24 years of age - episodic for the last 22 years.
Cycle 8-12 weeks long. Middle 5 or 7 weeks the most intense. I have as many as 6 attacks per day at the peak of the cycle.
Sleep is principal trigger and alcohol would be the secondary one and in the middle of a cycle will get attacks during the day
Time between 12 months or 21 months (actually, i think they will start at 24, in Dec)
Has tried Toradol, Demerol, Imitrex, Sphenopalatinum ganglium novocaine instillation. found relief only with Oxygen, a few with paracetamol or ibuprofen
Otherwise medium health. High BP, many allergies, overweighted.
As Mike, a cycle is usually preceded by the onset of an upper respiratory infection or cold.
