Gary g mentioning allergy has launched another weird theory in my hurting brain.
As we know, an allergy is an over reaction of our immune system towards an otherwise harmless foreign substance.
But there is also a thing called auto immune reaction: think about the destruction of insulin producing cell by the immune system, leading to Diabetes type II. Or injured nerve bundles in the spine are destroyed completely by the immune system, leading to paralysis after a time laps of about a day.
Could gary's enlarged concept of allergy also include auto immune reactions ??
