I've never used the injections, but I have used the 50mg tabs for the past 2 cycles. Here's what I've learned (for me, at least).
First my right nostril stops up (I"m a right-sider). Then the shadow in my right temple starts increasing the pressure. The first sign the demon is serious about dancing is a few very brief stabs with a thin ice pick. If I take the tab then, I will get hit, but it will be gone in 15-20 minutes and rarely exceeds an 8.
If I take the tab BEFORE the first ice pick stab, I can abort the whole thing. Or maybe the demon was just playing and didn't intend to dance. I don't really know. Hate to waste the tabs, but I'm getting pretty good, I think, at guessing which one's are real and which are teases.
Tabs are worthless (again, for me) for the middle of the night ones. Those times, I wake up (okay, I elevate at high velocity from the mattress, screaming and having no frigging idea where I am or what the f*** is going on for the first few minutes) with a 10, and by then, it's way too late for the tab. I just head for the ice pack and start pacing until I can't walk another step....then I pace on.
I will think harder on this for you, because I really don't know 'what' it is that tells me this shadow is for real...I just 'know' it and take the tab early.
