I just asked my Doc for prednisone too...started 3 20mg tablets per day....how long, not sure, but he didn't mention a taper off. It didn't work several years ago, but the first time I tried it, it stopped them cold!! I still had the weird feeling in my head, and pressure in the eye, like I was having the attack, but it didn't hurt. Didn't understand it, but sure did appreciate it!!
