Thanks for the info. Its funny that my neuro
specifically did not recommend prednisone. I
did take it one time before and found it very
effective, but then not effective at all the
next cycle. That was about 12 years ago, but
by the look of these posts, the stuff must be
effective for someone. In laymen's terms, it
seems to me that my brain is pretty much fried
at this point, and that the steroids can only help
the inflammation. I started the course last night
and just went 14 hours between imitrex shots.
It doesn't sound like much, but I have been
averaging 6-8 hours so its much better for me.
The biggest thing is that I am such a wimp
about these headaches that I always abort
them before they go full bore. For the last
week especially, the oxygen has been nearly
ineffective.
Well, we'll give the prednisone a go. Should
help the bursitis in my shoulder as an added
benefit.
Thanks for the kind words. I hate to see it
have to be you, but doctors with clusters are a
great combination. Don't have to spend an
hour explaining things to them.
