Q1; O2 has worked for me about 75% of the time. Most of the times that it did not work, the CH was already a 7 or 8. I was chronic for about 2 years 10 years ago and it was not much help then.
Q2; Never heard of it being effective as a preventative.
Make sure you use a nonrebreather mask at 8 to 10 liters/minute. Good luck.
