During cycle, I always carry a tab in my pocket. I take a knife and slit the backing right at the inside edge of the bubble. That gives me a place to stick my fingernail into and rip it open. Figured that out a few hours after trying to use a plastic knife in a client's breakroom to open the dang thing, with the predictable result of ending up on my hands and knees searching for a tiny white tab on a white vinyl floor.
