My experience:
I can abort any attack with 5-10 minutes of O2, if I catch it at the very beginning.
However, most of my daytime attacks are triggered by some food (containing MSG), and in this case the attack often returns within 20-60 minutes. I often have to go back on O2 for 3 or 4 times.
I don't consider this as multiple attacks, but rather (since oxygen does not have a prolonged effect) a re-triggering by the same trigger substance, until it is degraded enough in my system.
On the other hand, if a food triggered attack is aborted by Imitrex or something similar, the tailing off of the drug is often slow enough to inhibit a re-triggering.
