I have taken my BP on many occasions during an attack, and it's only elevated very slightly (140/80 during the pain versus 120/80 between attacks). When I'm doing verapamil there seems to be no difference at all.
One thing I haven't checked is my BP after dosing up on Imitrex -- I'm interested to see if it raises the BP significantly since it's a vasoconstrictor, but I'm always so elated to be done with the pain that I forget to get the cuff back out....
