I am in my sixth week with this bout of clusters. I usually go for about 2 months before they go away. I started getting clusters when I was 17 and I am now 43 years old, work full time and have 4 kids. This is my first time using the Imitrex nasal spray. It seems to get rid of the headache in about 30 minutes. I am also taking Luvox as a SRRI inhibitor. I can't wait for this round to be over with, I am getting worn out. Should I ask my doctor about prednisone, and do you only take it during a cluster, or do you remain on it as a preventative medicine?
