the understanding that they start most commonly in 20s is a new understanding-
until last few years most folks weren't DIAGNOSED til later - so the docs called it a middle aged problem

now they (hopefully) recognize it AND us older patients finally have 'em convinced that we HAVE had them since 20, or whatever

so you're LUCKY that way - at least they are addressing what your problem really is

at the other end of the scale, when they "go away" seems to be more highly variable

I'm a few weeks away from 50, have had them nearly 30 years
my average frequency and duration of clusters has gradually been getting better though, for the last 10-12 years

TRY NOT TO THINK ABOUT HOW LONG YOU"LL HAVE THEM
it just adds to the problem
learn to deal with them as they come, and when they come
never mind trying to predict long term, it will only cause extra stress and anxiety
