if DJ wants to put it on the side bar, I would consider "whomever" wrote it to try shortening it. Although I read the whole the thing, I think as a newcomer, I might have had skimmed over it thinking it was irrelevant information-----wanting to get at the meat of things. I have learned by doing newsletters, pamphlets, notes to other teachers, letter to parents, etc.----the shorter, the better. I would be glad to help out "whomever" it is that wrote this and help if he wanted to shorten it. And, I won't invite the grammar police, either.
