suggest you read the medical info page, and take the cluster quiz, via the buttons on the left
your Dr's instructions aren't real standard for CH either - that whole food trigger list is classic migraine treatment though, so he may not really be up on the subject
many doctors have heard of cluster headache, but don't really know what they are - it's a VERY SPECIFIC disease, not just a catch-all term for repetitive headaches
this site is certainly a good place to start, if you've been told you have CH - but I think you should really get a second medical opinion - try to find a neurologist who specializes in headache
don't misunderstand - I'm sure everybody here wishes you well, but IF you don't have cluster headache you really won't find much here that helps
if after taking the quiz, and reading the other info, you still believe you have CH, then BY ALL MEANS GET TO ANOTHER DOC !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
