I've had CH since my early 20's, and will be 55 this year. Inderal/Propanolol was prescribed initially, and I took it up to last year, when I had to get off of it so I could take allergy shots...the combination can actually kill you! Anyway, back to the meds, I took them faithfully, as a "preventative", but I continued to have around 3 bouts per year .... long long bouts of 3 - 4 months. It didn't help me, as I don't see any difference without it. Sorry! The only thing that helps me is pain medication, and I'm afraid I'll overdose myself at times. I have found that histamine injections help, about 2CC's per day, until CH starts to subside, then lower the frequency until they are finally gone (for awhile).
