I too am on my second bout with CH. My first attack started after Thanksgiving in 98. It lasted for 4 months. For the fist 2 months no Doctor was able to tell me what the problem was. I was finally lucky enouth to find and ER Dr. that determined I had cluster headaches. I thank god for the internet and all the CH sites. I visited my family Dr. with the information I found and he prescribed a two week prednisone taper with 240 mg of verapamil. The first session didn't work. So we tried it one more time and it did. My rescent attact started two weeks ago. I had verapamil and started taking it. It helped alittle but they were still there. I called and got another prescription of perdnisone three days ago and it it starting to work. Got my first good nights sleep in a while. Good luck and hope you are as lucky as I am so far. 100% oxygen also works during attacks for me too.
