From an open agnostic, a potentially surprising opinion. I agree with your comments regarding fighting hate with hate (bad idea) and with the concept that the hatred one spews will come back to them. Perhaps through divine intervention, but certainly through everyday life. No-one can hate that strongly without it affecting their personality, which will eventually sour them on the world and the world on them. If there is a god, that's just one more problem for this person or persons to worry about. Despite the pain and annoyance he/she/they have caused, Elaine wins, because as she said "No hate in my heart". Isn't that cool?
