DJ, your "think about it" button is a great addition. Jack, your comments are right on the mark.
I want to be able to post anything I need to say, after re-reading it, even if it is inspired by some dark part of my personality which has been pushed to the forefront by a long dance set with the devil. I figure that is part of what this is all about. I also figure it is part of the beauty of this board that some of us will be in a more sane place and will say "John, pull your head out of your ass". I have to admit there are times that my head is so far up my ass I have no idea it is there, and I just think the whole world is a shit-sickle.
I have an idea that I kinda like; I will leave it to you folks to tell me where my head is at the moment. It may be a technological impossibility, but how would it be if we all sent DJ a thumbnail photo of ourselves, like a passport photo. Then, when we want to post, or reply to a post, our little photo would appear at the top of our post.
Perhaps we would be less inclined to say "idiot, jerk, asshole, stupid, etc. (except when engaging in light-hearted banter), when we are saying it under our image, and perhaps others would be less inclined to reply with such talk when they have an image in mind of the person they are lambasting. We might look at the photo and say to ourselves, "poor slob gets clusters just like me".
