We use the term "idiot" affectionately when referring to Drummer. He likes it when we call him Idiot. He's asked us to call him Idiot. He refers to himself as Idiot. It's really not a derrogatory term for him. He also likes to use and read the f-word. It's his favourite word. We don't mind.
He's just Drummer. But you're right - he really does give good advice.
