I believe the drug you've heard of is Amerge. It's by Glaxo-Wellcome, just like Imitrex and is another triptan. As such, I don't believe the side-effects are much different. My doc gave me a couple of samples last cycle and it seems to me the info packet was about the same.
HOWEVER, some here have reported success using Amerge as a form of preventative...taking it just before bed to prevent that middle of the night visit. It's certainly worth asking your doc about.
