Hi Krista-
Is it possible that you actually do get an even earlier warning (which you haven't yet recognized) of an impending cluster attack, and the jaw tension is the result of you subconsciously tightening your facial muscles in anticipation of the pain? During cycle, I have a constant (24/7) shadow in my affected temple. Since it's always there, it's of no help in predicting the actual time of an attack. Give your situation some heavy thought...if you can identify another 'early warning sign', you'll be better able to medicate with a preventative. Imitrex tabs take 15-20 minutes to work for me, whereas I understand the injections work in as little as 5 minutes. Since the tabs cost about 1/5 what the injectors do, it would be great if you had 15 minutes warning.
KTSSU,
T
