Unsure about dosage amounts, but I took several taper schedules such as yours. I did get some relief, but the side effects were pretty unpleasant for me, including depression. Let your doc know your reactions. Just in case you don't know, prednisone is a steroid. You can find lots of information about the drug on this site and in other phamocology listings.
