I was on high doses of prednisone..it did help block the headaches (for awhile). I know it has helped many people. Unfortunatly it wreaked havoc on my joints and bones, i got a beautiful case of moonface, and i gained 20 pounds! It has been 3 months or so since I have been off of it and I can still barely walk without intense pain.....I suggest that you go for it just be aware that in high doses even for as little as 3 weeks it can cause lots of lovely side effects. I know not everyone goes thru what I did but nobody (not even my dr.) ever warned me. Good luck to you!
