I started prednisone about 4 months ago. On top of Verapamil. I started on 60mg for a week, which broke a two year, 5-6 HA's a week chronic cycle, and then tapered down by 5mg every 5 days. The HA's didn't come back until I got down to 10mg a day, so I still take 15mg daily, 5mg in the morning, and 10mg before bed. Only side effect I have from it is achne on my back and upper arms. Hopefully you will also benefit from prednisone as I have. Good Luck
