I have a 160 pound American Bulldog. Before I started getting Cluster Headaches, "Butch" and I would go to a center for austistic children and also a center for grieving children. He is not good with other dogs, but is unbelievable with people and especially people in pain. When the pain is almost too much to take, he is there for me to hold, beat on, (mildly), or just cry into. Unlike your dog of passing, Butch also knows and comes to me to make himself available.
