I have been trying to get ahold of this "specialist" for three days now to try and get something for pain. I have been getting my brains tortured out bad and last night/this morning has got to be the worst I've had. I don't know if it is due to the cold or what - but I have had SIX Ch's since midnight last night and feel like I'm going out of my mind.

I tried calling yesterday and they said she was out of the office until today. I tried today and they said she is out on a personal matter. First they tell me to slack off of the Neurontin (which is doing nothing) Then they tell me to up the dosage. What? Do they know what they are doing? The nurse said "Dr Burch specializes in headaches" My response? "this isn't any normal type of headache and if she knew anything about clusters at all she would give me something real for the pain since I don't have anything to abort them with. Vicodin ES doesn't touch it, and right now even that would be a nice attempt because I AM HURTING FREAKIN BAD".

I wonder if it is all a test to see how much freakin pain a person can endure before they lose it and go postal. Apparently this doctor specializes in tormenting her patients, and I'm still waiting on a call back from her office.

Last time they called I was in the middle of one and was not in a good frame of mind. That was @ 11:30am. I am hurting right now, the end of a CH kind of lingering, and I am one pissed off cookie.

I'm in the mindset if she doesn't call back today, I will try to find a way to St Louis tomorrow, sit in her waiting room, and when I get hit with one - screaming my ass off like there is no tomorrow. Think they'll get the picture?

Is it time for a new doc, do you think?
I think Krevorkian would show a little more mercy.
