Everyone will have a different answer for your question. For me, this episode began on 9/27/99 and affected the right side. Three weeks ago began an 8 day stretch w/out pain. Then they came roaring back on the left side. I'm in my second week of that. The entire episode will probably last until the end of November if it follows the same path as last time which was 3 years ago. I suggest that when you are at the end of an episode that you stay away from the alcohol for at least four weeks. Then, try it in very small amounts. For a system that has been without, two beers in one night will hit rather hard. Good luck and God Bless us everyone with PFD&N.
