fainting

I've passed out twice this week. Last night and the day before. I was reading previously that verapamil lowers blood pressure. I have low blood pressure to begin with. Seems to me that my doctor should have warned me what to expect with this medicine. Am I correct to think it is the verapamil making me pass out? Time to find a new dr. I think.
