I am catching up on the board today, and have been reading Selene's post. I emailed her, then thought, perhaps what I had to say might be of interest to others.
Thus, when I first began to experience CH's, I thought I was having sinus headaches. I did the treatment I'd been using for sinus attacks, which was, turn on the hot water in the bathroom basin, put a towel over my head and inhale the steam. Initially, that and some tylenol did help. It was in following cycles the pain began to become more severe, increasing with each succeeding cycle. It was 4 years (best I can recall) before I had one in the daytime! It was about that time I first had 4 or 5 attacks between 10 PM and 5AM.
The next cycle following was one of the worst in my memory and really sent me to the Docs in ernest. That resulted in mucho dental work, tons of antibiotics for sinus infections, and guess what??? I STILL HAD THE CH's. To wind this up, I finally got the right med from the right doc and now have a diagnosis etc.
The reason I post this lengthy essay is to possibly pass along information to someone who may benefit from my experience.
I think I am now in remission, not having had the wonderful experience in the past 2 weeks.
Can you say," ALRIGHT????
Y'all take care, I'll be checking the board on a regular basis...Bye now..Margaret G
