Get your doc to get you the prednisone. Go through this site and print all the info you can about CH. Bring it to your neurosurgeon (especially info showing that an MRI won't detect CHs). Refuse to leave the office until he reads it. When he's done reading it, say "Fuck you, buddy. I'm giving my $150 p/hr to a qualified doc." Or, just follow in the footsteps of the winner of the best guestbook entry. Now, find a good neuro who has experience with CHs and work with him or her on a good treatment plan.
