chronic and cycles

I'm chronic for 4 years now and just had 3 *very* bad months.
It seems as if I have cycles. And that being chronic means that the CH doesn't entirely go away in between.
The "in between" time is pretty much doable, not many attacks, not much pain, attacks are short and easy to treat ( oxygen).
3.5 months ago the freq, pain, duration etc. all went up and my life got kind of derailed.
( this took about 2 weeks to build up ) But now it has gone back to the doable level.
( for those who remember my last post: I'm a lucky man again )

Do others who are chronic also experience this kind of "cycles"?

P.S. I was just refered to a specialized hospital ( dec 1 ). Already see what wil happen:
doc: "What's wrong with you?" "Nothing anymore doc, just making the appointment did it!! :)
