12 years ago when these horrible things started (and before I got any treatment) I noticed that when i had a cup of strong coffee, it stopped the headache in it's tracks if I got it down before the H.A. got to say a #5 or6 on the Kip scale. I didcovered this by accident of course but I swear by coffee and will continue to drink it til my hands start shaking. It really does work for me. Caffeine is a vasoconstrictor, so why wouldn't it work? This is my opinion of course. Linda Howell
