I'm spending this week teetering on the very brink of rural-sociology-hell
we're in the middle of our annual biological condition check of the NH deer herd, based on sampling from detailed physical examination of the dead 'uns brought in by hunters -
1/2 way through a week of biting my tongue 10-12 hours a day (yes I truly DO that on occasion - quite a lot actually) while listening to a parade of morons,
who literally don't know intestines from lungs, and believe the does get smaller the more fawns they have over their lifetime; guys with their hats on backwards and their boots unlaced, who paw the ground, snort, and spray the bushes worse than the bucks -
as they tell my wife the "real" story of the life cycles of the whitetail deer - "just in case we want to know what is "really" happening out there" - 30, 40 50 times a day
(she's a 25 year tenure, prinicple research WL biologist, with extensive experience all over the US, but she's a "girl" and "not from around here", so of COURSE she doesn't know anything,,,,,,,,aaaaaaargh!!!))
looks like I'm in remission from CH for about a week now - but I just might welcome it back as a swap: it'd be easier to take than a week of these bozos, 12 hours a day !!!!
