Well, some of you may remember that I posted a message a couple of weeks ago saying I was going to Prof. Goadsby's clinic for some research scans. The first appointment was cancelled as the scanner was playing up (must have had a C/H!) I went last Friday (12th Nov) It was the most wonderful and worst experience all at once. Wonderful because I have waited 20 years to have a doctor witness me having one of these monsters, and awfuls because the doc induced a C/H, and it was the worst I have ever had. I decided that this was the chance in a lifetime to get something done, so I bore the pain as much as I could before asking for the Imigran injection - I got to a 10 - long time since I've had one of those! It was awful because I always abort the attack with O2/Naramig/Imigran/etc... before it gets a hold, but this got to a 10 before I took the medication. The doc was really pleased with the scans - I go to see my GP on Thursday so I'll post any more info after that. Just a thought - how many of you get C/H on left side only - doc seemed to think this was pretty rare. I sincerely hope that my scans help the research. Pain free days to everyone and my eternal gratitude to Prof Goadsby and his team for all of their hard work and dedication in helping us all with this awful condition (I wouldn't even wish it on my husband's ex - and that's saying something!!!!!!)
Linda
