I have your pattern, generally 3 or so HA's about 2 hours apart during the night. If I wake soon enough to apply heat I can shorten the HA. But if I do manage to sleep long enough for the HA to advance there is little that helps.
Do you have soreness of the head also? In the worst cycles my neck and head are almost too sore to touch. I cannot go to the dentist or do anything that puts pressure on the "bad" side during that time. When this cycle is over I must have cataract surgery, but that will have to wait
a while yet.
Sometimes I can sleep in a recliner - turned to the unaffected side. That way I can get my feet somewhat elevated without having to lie flat. I couldn't possibly lie on a pillow when Ch is at its most painful.
