Well I am among the tortured ones again. Today I had my first cluster attack since Sept. 1998. Right in the middle of Office Maxx of course. Thank goodness it didn't get above 6 or 7 and only lasted 20-25 minutes. I kind of feel wimpy complaining about it with all you chronics out there. It really took me by suprise because I haven't had any shadows which usually serve as precursors for the real deal and also because they are late this year. I had begun to hope that maybe I would skip a cycle like I did in 1997. So much for that idea. I think the demon loves adding insult to injury this way. My husband and I were talking and he said that the weather was about to change because he could always tell by my clusters. That got me to thinking about our weather patterns this year. We have had an unusually hot and dry summer and no fall to speak of-the highs this fall have been 75-85 F with the exception of a few days(I am in North Mississippi,by the way). This could be why the demon was late for dinner this year. That's just a thought. I don't want them to be back!!!!(WHINE...WHINE...MOAN...SOB) This will be my third cycle taking verapamil and the last one didn't respond as well as the previous time. I take 80mg 3x daily and I'm scared that it just won't work this time. I know there are those who will say I'm borrowing trouble but I can't help it. I'm a worrier. I'm terrified of it not working and I can't take imitrex(I'm a smoker and mother of a 2 year old) I won't take the risk (worrying again). Thanks for letting me vent.
PFD!!
