jonny,
I'm not a doctor, nor am I a security guard. I asked a question about relative frequency of attacks between chronics and episodics. You answered (I think) that you often get 9 per day. You didn't identify yourself as chronic or episodic. Your input, although greatly appreciated, was worthless without that qualifying piece of information, as this whole line of questioning is based on that very issue.
I'm terribly sorry that you went 14 years without meds---that shouldn't happen to even the least likeable person here. Although, as an episodic, I can't imagine the pain of daily ha's for years, I certainly can relate to individual attacks without meds, as I suffer several each cycle before I can get to a doc and get scripts written.
Your comment about not being here if you weren't chronic does bother me though. Are you asking me and the other episodics to leave? Is our pain somehow less significant than yours? Are we unable to contribute?
BTW, the definition of chronic is one full year with no significant periods of remission. If this fits your situation, then you most certainly can refer to yourself as a chronic.
KTSSU,
T
