I've come across a number of articles about serotonin treatments to aid in fighting alcoholism. The write up on the 5-HTP supplements says it lessens cravings for sugar/carbos and possible could have a connection to alcohol intake.
I'll have to do some searching to find the articles on this but I'll try.
