Looks like I made it through my cycle! I've now been over 30 days pain-free, and I never even went above a Kip-6 for the whole thing. Sorry it took me so long to post the good news, but I really really believe in the sneakiness of CHs, and didn't want to jinx it! =)
I think three things helped me make it through relatively unscathed: I started the Verapamil as soon as I was certain the cycle was starting. Second, my cousin has these damn things, and his support was unfailing and rock-steady (even when I was whiny). Third, clusterheadaches.com gave me so many new ideas to try "just in case" that I think I scared them away!
Seriously, you guys are great. There are so many terrific people here, and so much experience to draw on, that I never felt as alone as I did during those first few horrifying years with CH. Thank you for sharing your experiences and opinions, and thank you all for being here. It truly made a difference in my life.
I'll keep reading the board, occasionally posting, and always searching for more info on how to defeat the demon. Love you guys!
