Chronic CH sufferers...Really interesting reading at www.drkoop.com/news/stories/june/iv_headache.html Normally, I am episodic, but fell into chronic state for a year. Decided to go to Diamond Headache Clinic for special help....doctors there are great!! They were able to break the chronic cycle with a combo of drugs and I was HAPPY to be episodic again. I knew then there were many who suffered far more than me. At that time, I was told that IV histamine desensitization was an option since my CH's were becoming harder to treat. Currently, I am trying full-spectrum light therapy, too early to claim victory, but I am feeling better than I have felt at this time of year in the past 27. If the clusters begin, I have a doctor here in Indiana who is willing to try the IV treatments. She was able to get the protocol from Diamond HC. No promises of success, but yet another of many treatments out there. BTW, I would certainly
recommend to anyone, if you have the means, visit any one of several of Headache Clinics in the U.S. If I had cancer, I wouldn't leave it in the hands of my GP. WE NEED SPECIAL HELP!!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all my fellow clusterheads....I've got to get cooking...for 30 people!!!!! Rose
