Cluster's last stand?

Hi all,

it has been the 20th of September when I posted my last message and
I was in a calm-down-phase with my CHs.
Quite some things have changed lately and I would like to
post them here, so others, who are diagnosed as chronic will not
give up hope.

I was diagnosed with primary chronical Clusters the beginning of 1998 after
one year in hell without abortives or preventives.
I got Verapamil after the diagnosis was made, Imigran shots as abortive and
I used oxygen in some cases (mostly when I went to the hospital during night attacks
without a shot left).

After using verapamil for quite some time I seemed to get the CH less often, but therefore
more intense and in irregular pattern.
When I wrote my message on Sept. 20th I just was finishing a two week bout with my worst CH
so far.

BUT!
After the calming down I didn't experience any shadows any more. I used less verapamil from day to day
and since the 1st of October I am completely off the verapamil and right now I think I can sell my two shots
for the Glaxo-Pen in the next garage sale :)

I am wondering if the last CHs where the Cluster's last stand and now I am turned into an episodic?
I only had one attack after the 20th of Sept. and before the 1st of Oct.

So I am counting the days until the next attack and keep it all in my book to see if I am episodic now.
Wishing all of you the best and I will definetly watch this site closely in the future.

Wishing you a painfree time,

Lars
