Well, I went to the clinic in London and went through with the PET scans - horrific (the h/a not the scan!) Got the results through my doctor a few days ago - nothing unusual found (don't know if I'm relieved or not - kept hoping it was something "curable") Definitely Clusterheadaches and recommended Verapamil and Imigran - doctor has precribed the Imigran Nasal spray (yet another rip-off by Glaxo - thought I would get a little bottle and get more than the usual two doses but instead got two sprays of 20mg each!!!) I have had the injections in the past and thought I would try something different just to make a change (this epsiode of clusters has left me very jaded and sarcastic!!!) I am going to question Glaxo (suggest others do the same and put some pressure on them - we are a captive market afterall!) DOn't know if the Verapamil will work as I've only been taking them a couple of days - 80mg once a day (is this enough??!!??) But after 5 months of 3 to 4 H/As per night every night I only had one last night - reluctant to celebrate yet as it may well be wishful thinking!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
