I know that many people won't turn to alternative medicine because of misconceptions on the subject, but they can cure headaches. Also they seem more empathetic and caring to the people they treat than doctors. Reiki works but if you can't find a practicianer try a homeopathic healer or a herbalist. Another really good place to look is Native American healers, if you can get them.
