Sorry to tell you this, but...
My clusters started 15 years ago while I lived in Illinois. They followed me all over the world to everywhere I've lived since... Indiana, Texas, Seattle (No sun, 2 1/2 years), England (No sun, 2 years), Turkey (LOTS OF SUN! 3 years), and now Kansas (LOTS OF WIND!! 4 years).
Unfortunately, I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "once the Cluster Switch is thrown it stays thrown..."
