I had been on prednisone until last week when I ran out. My dosage started out at 40mg(20mg twice daily) and decreased to 10mg a day. I had no noticable side effects from it until I stopped taking it, and that was nothing more that a mild headache-not of the cluster type. I have heard that prednisone can have some very nasty side effects and possibly some liver damage if taken for an extended period of time.
