did a search through OnLine Health, RxList and Clinical Pharmacology Online (links on the left). I'm no doctor or pharmacist, but I didn't see anything indicating problems with lithium and decongestants. Caffiene, or actually coffee, was shown to decrease the serum concentrations of lithium, however. I would suggest discussing your coffee consumption with your doctor, who may wish to adjust your dosage as a result.
BUT, since I searched on generic lithium, it is certainly possible that the particular formulation you take has other components which prohibit taking decongestants. This MIGHT be addressed by switching you to another brand of lithium.
