I'm new and everything... but here's my two cents.

I don't see why prayer would have to be something "done" directly on the board. I don't see how that would be any more effective than praying in the privacy of your own home.

Having said that, however, I would also like to add that this entire thread has turned into "my religion or lack of religion tops yours." At least this is the case after looking at some of the posts. That's the natural course of such a conversation, and it doesn't surprise me that this one went that way.

The thing I can't understand is why people could simply not read anything related to prayer. No one forces you to click on any particular message on the board. If it is, in fact, that big of a deal, then don't read the messages pertaining to it. I haven't had any problem reading every message I have read, even though everything I read didn't pertain to my situation or didn't speak of anything I knew much about. And if there's something that I obviously know nothing about or that obviously does not pertain to me, then I just don't read it. It's a pretty simple process.

The only reason I've said anything is that I've seen so many message board and chat communities fight over similar nonsense. It's human nature. Sometimes people just don't know when to keep quiet, and I, as a human being, am guilty of the same thing from time to time.

Actually, another reason I've said something is because I'm really happy to have found a place where people understand what I'm going through. I've already printed off a ton of info to take to my next doctor appointment. I'm determined to get my life back, one way or another, and I think this site could be a part of that process.

In closing, if anyone would like to pray for me and my headaches, please do so (in the privacy of your own home, of course). I've had three attacks today, and my teaching career is under serious attack right now, and I can't live if I can't teach.

Hope I didn't offend anyone,
Brandon
