I too take the imitrex injections and my doctor has prescribed me a "after" imitrex medication....After i take an imitrex injection and i know the headache is going to come back, i wait 2 hours (NOTE: 2 HOURS) after the injection and i take a pill called amerge...They are expensive but unlike imitrex injections they are slow in and slow out of the system....If you feel a headache coming on you can not take an amerge and then imitrex....it doesnt go together that way...You have to remember, imitrex, 2 hours or longer, amerge....it works for me, i hope this helps some of you out in the future!
