leah, ive been on lithium for 8-9yrs with no side effects (except for a little shaking of the hands) i take 600mg a day-- along w/480mg of verapamil, after trial and error for 3yrs i found this combination to bring me from chronic to eposodic. i do get a blood test every 6 mounths for the lithium but so far no compliants... hope this helps you in some way.....peace....jonny
