Hi everyone:

With a good deal of fear and trepidation, I gave the Imitrex Tip a try. It worked like a charm!

I thought of a refinement to the original tip that might save some time.

Take your Q-Tip, or whatever you use as your plunger, and put it into an empty syringe. Use a pen to mark the Q-Tip even with the top of the syringe.

Now place the Q-Tip into a full syringe and again mark it even with the top of the syringe.

The space between the two marks is the length you would have to push the plunger to give yourself a full 6 mL dose. Divide that space into thirds by evenly spacing two additional marks between the original two marks.

Now there is no need to peel back the label and mark the syringe to prepare for your next headache. Just use the same Q-Tip, and inject until the top of the syringe is even with the next mark.

Just one word of caution - be careful of parallax. Make sure you are looking at the syringe from the side and not from an angle when you are injecting.

Thank you to whoever came up with the Imitrex Tip. Since discovering Imitrex, I've had more than a few bad days where I used my allotted dosage of Imitrex, and sat in agony watching the clock wishing that I could take another shot. I'm sure those days will be fewer and farther between as a result of the Imitrex Tip!

Good luck!

Tim L.
